With so many amazing things to offer it would be almost impossible to discover each and every delight of Peru´s Cusco region in just one visit! With this in mind, we have carefully prepared a special package consisting of 6 days of unique tours, which will take to the most important attractions of the region,give you the chance to meet and interact with local people, and learn about life in the Peruvian Andes! If you are limited on time or not a big fan of multi-day treks, but would still like to see the best of the best in the Cusco region, then this is the perfect package for you!
The Cusco region is one of the most beautiful and attractive parts of Peru. The Andean landscapes offer great trekking, bicycle and horseback riding routes, as well as a chance to learn about the history of the Inca Emprire and explore archaeological sites. Friendly locals are what really make this area of Peru so special, and you will have the chance to witness first-hand the rich traditions and culture of Andean communities. From Cusco you can easily reach the famous Inca ruins of Machu Picchu, jump down to the jungle or reach the dizzying heights of the mountains. This region provides you with many attractions and unique experiences, and with our 6 day tour you can see the most spectacular parts!

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO CUSCO
The day after arriving in Cusco you will have a light schedule so as to acclimatize to the high altitude (around 3 400m above sea level). Depending on your arrival time, you will visit the ruins of Saqsaywaman, the museum of Koricancha and other notable parts of the historical city center, where you can see a mixture of colonial and Inca architecture.
Day 2: PISAC AND OLLANTAYTAMBO
The Sacred Valley, also known as the Valley of Urubamba, is unique. Not only does it offer breathtaking landscapes but Peruvians believe it to be full of a special, positive energy. Here, you will find ruins from the Inca Empire – believed to the most important and strategic archaelogical areas of the entire country. You can spend many days discovering new adventures in this part of the Cusco region. For this tour, we have selected two of the most important and beautiful towns in the Sacred Valley to visit and explore – Ollantaytambo and Pisac.
You will start the tour early in the morning at 7:00 am. First on the agenda is a visit to a small zoo where resident Peruvian animals include jungle birds, llamas, alpacas, vicunas and condors. You will have a unique oportunity not only to see all of these animals in one place, but also to be very close to them. Later in the day you will have a chance to explore cosy town of Pisac, as well as the ruins situated just above the city. Besides wandering the lovely market you will also be able to learn about the history of the Inca Empire and get some background informtation on Peru in general. From Pisac you will travel directly to Patacancha Valley where you will meet with local communities living in the high Andes. You will spend the afternoon and the next morning with them in order to interact and experience their way of life.
Day 3: PATACANCHA VALLEY - OLLANTAYTAMBO
After a 7:30 am wake up a typical, local breakfast will be served. Once everyone has finished we will begin an easy and comfortable trek through the Patacancha Valley to the beautiful Inca town of Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we will visit the Inca ruins in Ollantaytambo and have some time to walk through the lovely streets of this amazing town. You will also have the unique oportunity to participate in the preparation of a local dish called ´Pachamanca´ – one of the most famous dishes in the Andes! After lunch in the garden with a view of the surrounding mountains, you will go by train to Aguas Calientes, from where will explore the most spectacular ruins of the Inca Empire – Machu Picchu – the next day.
Day 4: MACHU PICCHU
During this day you will have possibility to explore Machu Picchu from many diferent points. Inside the ruins there are many options available to you. You can hike one of the two small peaks, Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, or walk to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and/or Inca bridge. Once you’ve completed your Machu Picchu adventure you will return to Aguas Calientes, where you will have dinner. Later on in the evening you will travel to the small and very lovely town of Chinchero.
Day 5: CHINCHERO - MARAS - MORAY - SALIENRAS
Day 5 is an awesome and unforgettable venture into the local culture of the Sacred Valley! Today you will explore Inca archeological sites, a unique, traditional Inca salt mine and mystical agricultural terraces, as well as partaking in a textile lesson and meeting members of the local community. You will be amazed at just how many things there are to do and explore in one day! It is on this day that you have the chance to really enrich your knowledge and experience of local Andean traditions, crafts and customs.
The day starts 6:30 am. After breakfast we will visit the Inca ruins of Chinchero, later particpating in an interesting lesson about the local textiles of the region.
After Chinchero, we continue to Moray where we will explore some unusual Inca ruins, consisting of several enormous terraced circular depressions.
From Moray we continue to the next destination – Maras. We will take a short pause in this small town and learn about the production of the popular Andean beverage, ´chicha de jora´ (corn beer). We will also have the chance to walk around and explore the quaint and beautiful streets of the town!
Salineras de Maras
After Maras we continue the tour towards the incredible salt ponds, Salineras de Maras, that have been in use since Inca times. We will go there on foot following an easy and relaxing trail for approximately 1 hour. Along the way we will be able to enjoy some spectacular views of the Cordillera Uubamba! Once we arrive at the salt mines you will have a chance to walk through more than 3000 salt ponds and learn about the production of salt – methods which have been used since the time of the Inca Empire.
After full day of different activites we will reach Cusco at 7 pm – leaving you plenty of time to discover the restaurants and nightlife of this beautiful city!
Day 6: DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO
Depending on your time of departure we will visit certain sites in the historical centre which we may have missed on the first day. A highlight of this final day will be a visit to the Mercado San Pedro, where you can stock up on local foods and traditional handicrafts!

All our tours are aimed at people in good physical and mental condition. Some tours requires better physical conditions than others, please check the tour details and mention any potential problems at the time of booking.
All transportation within Peru is included in our tours. For both the ´Standard´and ´Premium´ price packs this involves private transfers. International flights and some domestic flights are not included. Please check your itinerary.
If you would prefer to travel by public transportation and decrease the cost of your tour we are able to accommodate this.
All accommodations provided as part of our tours and factored into the given prices are double rooms in 3* hotels, unless otherwise specified in the tour itinerary.
Please note: 3* accommodation in Peru is likely to be more basic than the equivalent in European or North American standards. Homestays are very basic and will not provide en suite bathrooms or hot water. Hostels in some trails/parts of the tours are very basic and typically include private bathrooms but no hot water.
We are able to provide single rooms and a higher standard of hotel for an extra fee – please let us know at the time of booking. Where an itinerary states that you will be staying in a ´basic hostel´or ´homestay´ it is unlikely that there are other accommodation options. If you would prefer not to stay in these places then we can adjust the tour accordingly, but this will mean missing out on that particular location. Similarly, we are able to provide accommodation exclusively in hostels and homestays, which will result in a decrease in the tour fee. Please advise us of any desired changes as soon as possible before booking.
Breakfasts are generally included in the accommodation.
Unless otherwise specified in the tour itinerary, lunch and dinner are not included in the tour price.
Some details of the tour may change depending on weather conditions, physical condition of the participants and other unpredictable elements – for example transport strikes, protests etc.
Our prices are “all inclusive” as far as possible. Nevertheless, some excursions, visits or activities cannot be included in order to give you more freedom and to adapt to each traveler.
Please read carefully the “Included” and “Not included” information, and consult the ´Itinerary´ tab for information about optional, non included excursions.
The prices of our tours may vary in high season (April to November) when some rates can increase.
For Machu Picchu, there is a discount of USD$20 for students who send us a scanned copy of their ISIC card via email during the booking process and who then bring the original, valid ISIC card with them for the trip (without valid ISIC card, you would not only lose the discount but also the possibility to explore the ruins since you would not get permission to entrance). There is another discount of USD$20 for Peruvians and another USD$10 for Peruvian University students. Peruvian citizens have to indicate DNI number during booking process and to bring valid DNI for the tour. Peruvian students have to send a scan of their student card during booking process and bring a valid document with them for the tour. In both of the above-mentioned situations, if you do not show the valid document(s) at the entrance to Machu Picchu, you will not get permission to entrance and will loose the possibility to explore the ruins.
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENT
To book any tour, first we will confirm its availability for your specific date. Then we need to receive an advance payment (50% or full payment) according to current prices and to have your full details (no errors) which are necessary to book the entrance tickets on your behalf. In order to reserve tours we need a copy of each participants´ passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned travel date. . Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until we receive these elements.
We require clients to pay the remainder of the fee on Day 1 of their tour.
From the date of payments of the 50% deposit until 29 days before departure: Cancellation fee of 30 %
28 days until 15 days before departure: Cancellation fee of 60%
14 days until 2 days before departure: Cancellation fee of 80%
Cancellation 1 day before date of departure or no-show: Cancellation fee of 100%
Cancellations are deemed to be executed when a written cancellation confirmation from the agency is received. Cancellation deadlines and fees may vary depending on group size, route and dates.
Any additional charges incurred for international transfers etc. will be covered by the client.
VACCINATIONS & INSURANCE
Before travelling, you should always check current information about required vaccines. We recommend you to take the vaccine against yellow fever at least one week before your travel. Please note that to participate in any of our tours you have to have valid travel insurance. Please check the regulations and exclusions of your insurance company, especially if trekking in the high mountains or planning adventure sports.
CHECK SOME IMPORTANT POINTS
Avoid unforeseen complications by arriving at the tour departure location at least one day before the beginning of the tour. Check requirements about passports and visas for entering Peru in advance.
