Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: CUSCO - PISAC - LARES

    The Sacred Valley, also known as the Valley of Urubamba, is unique. It offers not only breathtaking landscapes, but Peruvians believe it is full of positive energy. Here is where you find ruins from the Inca Empire, which are viewed as the most important and strategic in the entire region and also the country. You can spend many days discovering new entities in this part of the Cusco region. There are two important and beautiful towns in the Sacred Valley – Ollantaytambo and Pisac.

    During first day you will have a chance to explore cosy town of Pisac, as well as the ruins situated just above the city. Besides the lovely market you will learn here about the history of the Inca Empire when we will visit unique ruins that differ in beauty and structure from others.

    You will start the tour early in the morning, around 7:00 am. First on the agenda is a visit to a small zoo where the Peruvian animals include: jungle birds, llamas, alpacas, vicunas and condors. Next is a visit Pisac where you can explore the town center and local, colourful market. The tour also includes visiting the Incas ruins situated just above the town. From Pisac we will travel directly to Lares town, where you will have the chance to relax and unwind in the hot springs, which are open late into the night. Then we will continue to the hotel situated in the small Andean village, from where the next day you will start full day trek.

  • DAY 2: LARES TREK TO PATACANCHA VALEY

    Today you will enjoy approximately 8-hours of trekking from a lovely mountain village Huacahuasi to a unique Patacancha Valley. The trek towards Patacancha valley will begin at 7 am. You will pass through small mountain villages along the trail. On the road you come across herds of llamas, and learn how local communities live in this part of Peru. The day comes to an end in the beautiful little town of Huilloc in the valley of Patacancha, where you will meet with local family and share with them the evening.

  • DAY 3: PATACANCHA VALLEY - OLLANTAYTAMBO

    This day will also be very various. We will serve breakfast around 7:30 am, eat delicious local breakfast, in the local atmosphere, after which we will strat a lightweight and comfortable trekking through the valley Patacancha to the beautiful Inca town of Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we will visit the Inca ruins in Ollantaytambo as well as we will have time to walk around through lovely streets of this amazing town. We will also have unique oportunity to participate in the preparation of the dish called Pachamanca. It is one of the most famous dishes in the Andes, so we just have to try it – but not only. We will also see how it is made. After lunch in the garden, with the spectacular view for the mountains, you will go by train to Aguas Calientes, from where the next day you will explore the most spectacular Inca ruins.

  • DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU

    During this day you will explore Machu Picchu from many diferent points. Inside the ruins there are many options available to you. You can hike one of the two small peaks, Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, or walk to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) and/or Inca bridge. Once you’ve completed your Machu Picchu adventure you will return to Aguas Calientes from which you will have a train to Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo you will have bus transfer diectly to Cusco, where your tour will finish around 22:30 pm.
