Lomas de Lachay is located 105 kilometers to the north of Lima, in the district of Chancay, Huaral. It is one of the most protected areas of Peru as well as one of the most important National Reserves in the country. It stands out for its great biodiversity, pre-Columbian archeology and shows some cave images.This reserve was created on June 21, 1977 and covers the area of approximately 5,070 hectares.
We will start this one day tour with your transfer from Lima to Lomas de Lachay where we will begin beautiful hiking in Lomas de Lachay, which consists of walking along the marked paths in order to make the journey inside the National Reserve of Lachay. Do not miss this opportunity to trek in Lima.
In Lomas de Lachay you can find natural formations that are unique and that are known in the world under the classification of “Oasis of Mists” originated by the humidity coming from the trade winds that blow from the sea, these are in the middle of the desert and they present an unusual and almost surreal landscape scene.
There are three types of trekking circuits (Zorro or Mirador circuit, Tara Circuit, Circuit of the Partridge) which have different level of difficulty.
Closer to the end of our hike we will have a light dinner with refreshing drinks after which we will take a bus ride back to Lima.
